"Hip hop lives as we live the culture. While Canada hasn’t historically topped the charts, hip hop is very much alive in the north. We’ve never pretened we were short on critics, but the enthusiasm, energy and progress shown over the past decade is proof of progress on all sides of the culture. With that, Hip Hop Ain’t Dead It Lives In The North Volume 3 is now available for download!
The third installment of this series is birthed from the cultural clothing brand of the same name. Well established as a powerful idea, It Lives In The North uses the music to prove the message once more. DJ Dames Nellas, known for his incessant cross country touring, orchestrates the mixtape which features over thirty artists including Kardinal Offishall, Rich Kidd, Classified, Drake, P. Reign, Belly and Luu Breeze. Even a few artists from south of the boarder made the cut on collaborations like “Making A Killing” by Vado and Luu Breeze and “In The Morning” by J. Cole and Drake.
“This mixtape is an overview of the kind of dope music coming out of Canada,” says DJ Dames Nellas (www.theofficialdj.com). “There really isn’t a dull moment and I hope people internationally catch the vibe.”
This volume also includes exclusive tracks from Rock Da House and Bishop Brigante along with unique interludes featuring King Of The Dot battle rappers and a conversation between It Lives In The North founder Jonathon “Bizz” Brown and the legendary hypeman/rapper Spliffstar.

Wud it Do Toronto, another long week behind us, and another one starting. Were in the lab and in the office grinding hard to give you this EP “NEW SCHOOL COOL” by Logik Dat Lad. Were holing no stops with this one.
